Johnny Depp is reportedly planning to build an underground tunnel system to connect all of of his homes in the Hollywood Hills, US Weekly reports. Sure, this plan may seem pretty extravagant to us non-Hollywood folks. But when you're known for being the industry's most overpaid actor, it's actually quite normal.

“He’s been buying them up over the years. He wanted to build a gate to stop the tour buses from coming up there," a source says of Depp's cul-de-sac of five houses. But the actor is having trouble buying the sixth home from the owner, who is reportedly refusing to give it up.

There are many pluses that can come with having an underground tunnel system. You don't have to worry about walking through a torrential downpour or a blizzard, and it can double as a secret location for meetups (or turn ups). Most importantly, all those tunnels will have plenty of space for any kind of activities you dream up. The possibilities are endless!

It turns out that Depp has a tendency to spend a lot of money on insignificant items. The documents from his divorce settlement with Amber Heard revealed the actor likes to spend $30,000 on wine and $3 million to shoot Hunter Thompson’s ashes out of a cannon.
